Spina Bifida of San Diego SBSD is dedicated to the education, awareness, and support for patients and families with spina bifida.

*** Our goal is to provide for the mental, social and physical support to those within the Spina Bifida Community of greater San Diego. ***
SBSD Mission: Promote the awareness, education, and independence of children and adults affected by spina bifida in the greater San Diego area.
Support: Provide a forum for all families and patients of all ages to share their experiences
Education: Update members on current resources and future medical innovations
Independence: Facilitate the growth and function as future adult individuals
Awareness: Reach out to the greater San Diego community for equal access and representation
Transition: Assist with school, social, and workplace integration Prevention: Reinforce folic acid supplementation to those at risk
Research: Promote partnerships with the medical community
